Security Considerations
Zeus Web Server gives you the ability to run many dynamic scripting languages under the unprivileged user ID and group ID of the hosted customer. It also allows you to set up secure environment for each hosted customer to prevent one customer viewing or altering another customer's data. You can put limits on the memory and execution time of individual scripts to prevent the shared server becoming overloaded.
The combination of these features means that providing dynamic content to hosted customers entails significantly reduced risk in a shared hosting environment. By locking down the execution of dynamic content, continued operation of the server can be assured without having to worry about security breaches or server overload and the associated downtime.
Supported Application APIs
PHP/Zend support
PHP is provided 'out-of-the-box'; a single mouse click brings full PHP support to a website. ZWS provides the fastest, most scalable and secure platform for running PHP; using the ZWS high-performance FastCGI interface PHP logic is ran in a separate process to the web server, ensuring that badly written scripts can't bog down server processes with huge memory leaks unlike Apache's mod_php.
Perl, and mod_perl
One of the most popular development languages for the web; ZWS provides a perfect platform to host Perl applications, including those developed for mod_perl. Zeus Perl Extensions allow mod_perl applications to run unmodified, cache and accelerate Perl CGI scripts, and embedded perl logic in SSI-generated pages using the '#perl' command.

An extension of the CGI standard, FastCGI is an open standard for generating dynamic web content, which retains all the benefits of CGI programs, yet eliminates weaknesses inherent to CGI. Persistent CGI execution removes any program start-up overhead and the distributed interface allows FastCGI programs to execute on remote machines giving performance increases. FastCGI applications can also provide custom authentication services.
