ZXTM 5.0: Managing IPv6 Traffic

IPv6 is the next generation internet protocol, replacing and resolving limitations in the current IPv4 protocol. ZXTM version 5.0 fully supports IPv6 for client-side and server-side traffic.

ZXTM functions as an IPv4 or v6 gateway, translating IPv4 and v6 client traffic to IPv4 and v6 traffic on the server-side. Both protocols can be used simultaneously on the client and server sides:

ZXTM’s IPv4/v6 gateway capability can be used in an environment where some back-end servers run on IPv4 and some on IPv6; this can assist a migration program from v4 to v6 within an organization. Similarly, a situation may exist where some users arrive using IPv4 (for example, from the Internet), and others use IPv6 (from an Enterprise VPN).

IPv6 is a core feature, fully supported in ZXTM LB and ZXTM version 5.0.
